Day Eighteen Poetry:
Remembering
I've been there
too many times to count
I've eaten more meals
from au bon pain
than I care to remember
had the antiseptic smell
seep into my brain
and unsettle my stomach
more than enough times
spent countless visits
in the intensive care,
or the emergency room
and seen entirely too much
of jefferson five
yet, what I wouldn't give
to be there one more time
with you
